Bringing the country into the city for folk duo India Electric Company's new project

Have your say

THE hotly-tipped rock duo Royal Blood have pulled tonight’s sold-out show at The Pyramids Centre, Southsea.

Hundreds of fans were left disappointed after a statement announcing the show’s postponement was put on the band’s website this afternoon.

It explained that bassist and singer Mike Kerr has been diagnosed with ‘severe tonsillitis’ and is not well enough not to perform.

The pair, completed by drummer Ben Thatcher, have been considered one of the year’s hottest live tickets, and the Pyramids show sold out in minutes when it went on sale earlier this year.

Shows in Oxford tomorrow and Bristol on Wednesday have also been postponed.

The statement added: ‘Customers are advised to retain their tickets and await further information with regard to rescheduled dates which will be planned and announced as quickly as possible.

‘We wish to sincerely apologise to all ticket holders for the inconvenience and disappointment this has caused.’
