It’s hard to believe McFly have already released two greatest hits compilations.
They may be whippersnappers compared to the oldies we usually associate with best-of collections, but McFly don’t lack the content.
They have had seven UK No.1 singles and five Top 10 albums among their sales of more than 10 million.
The four-piece shot back into the limelight in 2011 when members Dougie and Harry won I’m A Celebrity... and Strictly Come Dancing, respectively.
Then co-frontman Tom Fletcher became a YouTube sensation earlier this year with his wedding speech. They are massive on social media with three million Twitter followers.
The band are currently playing live in front of dedicated fans who got in early buying tickets for their Memory Lane: The Best Of Tour.
They play a sold-out show at Portsmouth Guildhall tonight, before heading to the Brighton Centre on Thursday ahead of a tour finale at Wembley Arena next Saturday.
The tour is in support of their latest release Memory Lane, a collection of hits, from their early smashes Five Colours In Her Hair, Obviously and Chris Moyles’s favourite Star Girl, to chart hits such as All About You, One For The Radio and Party Girl, alongside the band’s recent and biggest-selling single Shine A Light featuring Taio Cruz.
The album also features two previously unreleased demo versions of That Girl and Obviously.
With it being their 10th anniversary year, we can expect to hear more from McFly before 2013 is out.
