Irish pop trio The Script have announced a date in Portsmouth as part of their upcoming 2019 tour. 

The band will appear at Portsmouth Guildhall on Thursday March 28 2019.

Since their break-through in 2008 The Script have had four number one albums in the UK and have sold 30 million records.

Their hit singles include The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, For The First Time and Breakeven.

As part of the tour they will be playing in Bath, Carlisle, Halifax and Southend.

On Saturday 30 March the group will play a special show at London Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Speaking about the tour the band said: We are honoured to be asked to support the Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall.

‘The fantastic work that they been done over the years continues to pay dividends to provide specialist care to young people with cancer across the UK.

‘We are also excited to be warming ourselves up by performing in places we’ve never played before ahead of this very special show. See you there!’

Tickets go on sale on Friday December 7 and they are available from Ticketmaster.
