PORTSMOUTH crowds know how to have a good time as thousands of people rocked out at the first night of Victorious Festival.
The rain gets a mention as in true British festival style in didn’t rain but poured.
However it didn’t deter the crowds from packing out Southsea Common.
Local bands such as Southsea Alternative Choir, Slick Minded Individuals and The News’ Instant Star winner Jerry Williams played during the day.
Then the evening was taken over by The Magic Numbers, Flaming Lips, Primal Scream and The Fratellis.
Sharon Miller, 37, of Copnor, said: It’s such a shame about the weather, but it’s been really good.
‘Everywhere was easy to get to and the music has been great so far.
‘Really looking forward to seeing Tinie Tempah.’
