Going dancing? Here's this week's Club Scene with Sam Cherry

While there have been sad times for our music scene this summer, there is no doubt that the Portsmouth scene is growing and improving every year with forward thinking promoters expanding their ambitions with exciting, fresh musicians.

I could think of nothing better to do this weekend than to enjoy one of the biggest festivals on the south coast, right here: Victorious. While it's easy to get caught up in headliners such as The Prodigy, The Libertines and Paloma Faith, don't forget the many stages run by our locals including the funk juggernaut Beats and Swing, the ambitious AMP Stage (presented by Havant and South Downs College), Soul Circus and live comedy with PM Promotions. You can even catch me DJing disco and house under the name Broken Beats at the AMP Stage on Saturday at midday! Visit victoriousfestival.co.uk for your last chance to grab tickets.

Wherever you party this weekend, please stay safe, party responsibly and keep an eye out for your friends and others.
