The centre is asking those attending the free event to donate just 50p to help reach their fundraising target.

Yvonne Clay, Senior Marketing Manager at Gunwharf Quays, said: '˜The annual fireworks extravaganza is one of the biggest events in our calendar and we are delighted that both JP Cooper and Chelcee Grimes will be joining us on the night to help dazzle the crowds.

'˜The event will also mark the start of the festive shopping season, with our Christmas lights being displayed for the first time this year.

'˜Although admission to our event is free, we are encouraging visitors to donate as much as they can to our charity, Barnardo's - if everyone attending gave just 50p we could raise an incredible amount to help those most vulnerable in our community.'
