One of the highlights of this season’s comedy calendar is sure to be tonight’s Comedy All Stars show at Horndean.

Dishing out the laughter will be Bob Mills, best known for his late-night show In Bed With Medinner.

Fellow stand-up comedians Holly Walsh and duo Big Howard and Little Howard will also appear. Host is Jonny Awsum.

Mills got into comedy in his 30s when he wanted to find a new way of earning a crust. ‘I’d been to comedy clubs and thought the hours would suit, so I studied what made people laugh, and treated it like any other trade,’ he says.

One of his favourite jokes is about a man who walks into a bar and has his hat eaten by the barman’s dog.

‘Barman says: “Tough. You shouldn’t have put it on the bar”. The guy says: “I don’t like your attitude.” The barman says: “It wasn’t my ‘at he chewed”.’

The show, at Horndean Technical College, is at 8.30pm. Tickets: £12 in advance, £15 on the door. Visit comedy-allstars.co.uk.
