SHORT STORY FOR THE WEEKEND: Let’s Do It by David Dunford

Have your say

Following his sell-out September performance, Lee Nelson returns to the Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham for another nearly sold out show on Thursday.

The show is a warm-up for extra dates added to his Lee Nelson… LIVE! tour.

Lee (AKA Simon Brodkin) is the star of the BBC Three hit comedy Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show.

Centre director, Annabel Cook, says: ‘Tickets for his last show sold in record-breaking time. We are delighted to have such a popular comedian return to the Ashcroft stage.’

We caught up with Lee to find out more.

What’s the best thing to happen to you this week?

Yesterday Frank Skinner asked me to do a gig with him. What a legend.

What would you be doing if you weren’t on tour?

Very little.

Name three things that make you laugh

My little boy because he does funny things like blow cigarette smoke out of his ears.

My best mate Omelette, who’s just a well funny fat legend.

The Chuckle Brothers.

Who’s your biggest hero?

David Beckham. Because of him and Brooklyn, me and my missus have a little boy called Stairwell. And Gary Linekar is a hero of mine too. I’m a massive cheese and onion fan.

Tickets cost £15 from 01329 223100 or ashcroft.org.uk.
