ITV weathergirl takes plunge down Spinnaker Tower for abseiling challenge

ITV's Laura Tobin is used to reporting on blustery conditions, but this morning she experienced them for real.

The Good Morning Britain weathergirl gave viewers today’s forecast, while hanging 560ft above the ground on the edge of Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower.

As part of her Top Of The Morning series of reports Laura presented the weather in double-quick time, before scaling 100m down the tower.

It wasn’t all plain sailing though, with the brunette daredevil even appearing to swear at fellow presenter Piers Morgan - back in the GMB studio - as she took on the challenge.

Afterwards she tweeted: “I MADE IT! I abseiled 100m down the @SpinnakerTower It was v scary at 1st but I built the bounce later!”

If you want to get involved and abseil down the tower, you can sign up for opportunities in 2017 by going to spinnakertower.co.uk.
