Hitting the town? Great Portsmouth club nights this weekend

Liam Gallagher and his new band Beady Eye will take to the stage at next year's Isle of Wight Festival.

The former Oasis singer will appear at the festival on Sunday June 12, appearing as special guest to Kasabian.

Gallagher's new group formed of Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock will release its debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' in February.

Gallagher quit Oasis, best known for hits such as Wonderwall, Roll With It and Don't Look Back in Anger last year.

The Isle of Wight Festival will take place on June 10, 11 and 12 at Seaclose Park, in Newport.
