LISTED: Your guide to firework displays in the Portsmouth area

The skies across Portsmouth will soon be filled with firecrackers and roman candles as the area celebrates Guy Fawkes night.

To mark the occasion schools, clubs and other groups will be putting on firework displays as well as hosting traditional bonfires.

Below we’ve included a list of displays to watch out for in your area, along with details about start times and ticket prices.

PORTSMOUTH

King George V Playing Field, Cosham- November 2

Start time: 7pm

Tickets: Free event

Palmerston Road, Southsea- November 9

Start time- 4pm (includes Christmas lights switch on)

Tickets: Free to attend

Gunwharf Quays- November 10

Start time: 6pm

Tickets: Free, but donations to Mencap will be encouraged

FAREHAM

Meadowside Recreation Field, Whiteley- October 30

Start time: 5pm

Tickets: £2 adults, £1 children and £5 family ticket

Boundary Oak School, Wickham Road- November 4

Start time: 6.30pm (fireworks from 7pm)

Tickets: £6 adults, £4 children older than 3, free for under 3’s

St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Primate Road- November 5

Start time: 4pm (6pm for fireworks)

Tickets: £5 adults and £4 children

Glebe Field, Wickham- November 5

Start time: 6pm (7pm for fireworks)

Tickets: £4 adults, £2 children

Hoe Road Recreation Ground, Bishops Waltham- November 5
