Drum and bass bangers and a carnival theme for the bank holiday weekend in Sam Cherry’s Club Scene

Kicking things off tonight on the electronic music front this bank holiday weekend are After Hour Events as they return with their drum and bass-focused Soundz of the Future II at Acapulco on Albert Road, Southsea.

With a very limited amount of tickets available, expect an intimate one with DJs Drift, Flatline, 2 Corners, Entine, Lista, Stano, Nixtape, Gbangaz and Oh Charlie from 7pm until midnight.

Tickets cost £5 via Fixr. Their last event around a year ago sold out so get in quick.

Meanwhile over at Drift on Palmerston Road, from 10pm until 2am Event Connect return with their residency and this week’s flavour is also drum and bass!

Expect fresh faces to take to the decks and represent part of Portsmouth’s new wave of DJs/artists.

Tomorrow, Crescendo return to present a night of bumping tech house and techno beats.

The line-up sees Junior Gee, Leon Windsor, Andrew Robertson and Brad Goddard from 7pm until midnight.

Also on Saturday at The Astoria on Guildhall Walk, you can expect Oh La La to be bringing the heat with their vibrant carnival-inspired production featuring live musicians, confetti showers, firebreathers.

Meanwhile over at Pryzm, the Waster Reunion returns on Sunday with a UV and silly string-theme in the Vinyl Room (formerly Envy).
