The free show on Wednesday November 2 will this year feature a large bonfire, a variety of food stalls and a 20-minute fireworks display - with a Pirates of Portsmouth theme.

The event starts at 4pm with a funfair for the under 12s.

At 7pm the bonfire will be lit using donated by local businesses.

The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor David Fuller, will then lead the countdown to the fireworks at 7.30pm.

Visitors are reminded not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers to the display, and are encouraged to use public transport.

Cars parked on yellow lines or grass verges also risk being towed as routes need to be kept clear.
