Portsmouth Shantymen miss out on TV victory with Gareth Malone
A MALE vocal group from Portsmouth entertained choirmaster Gareth Malone on his latest BBC show.
On last night’s episode of ‘The Choir: Gareth’s Best In Britain’, the Portsmouth Shantymen sang sea shanties while Gareth hoisted the flags aboard the HMS Warrior.
The shantymen faced stiff competition from other entrants, and were not selected to represent the south east in the national competition.
