The five-strong group, famous for hit singles Tragedy and Chain Reaction, will appear together on 15 dates throughout November and December.

It comes as they prepare to release their new album Tears on the Dancefloor next month.

Although the tour will not include any Hampshire dates, fans in the south can see the quintet at the Brighton Centre in Brighton on November 23 and the Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth on November 27.

They will also be appearing at the O2 Arena in London on November 24, and at the SSE Arena, Wembley, the next day.

The new studio album will be the first released by Steps since 2012.

The group were formed in May 1997, and achieved two number-one singles in the UK before first splitting up in 2001.

They briefly reformed in 2011, taking part in a four-part documentary series about their reunion on Sky, before releasing a second Greatest Hits album.
