Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society goes back to the crusades for its latest production, Nathan the Wise.

The play revolves around Nathan, a wealthy Jewish merchant whose daughter is rescued by a Christian knight. He is then captured in battle but spared from death by the great Muslim leader Saladin.

The story brings together different faiths in a tale of tolerance and humanity both humorous and moving.
