The award-winning English Youth Ballet is offering young dancers the opportunity to perform on the Kings Theatre stage.
Auditions are being held at the Southsea theatre on today to find 100 dancers to perform in a new production of Swan Lake, which will be there from October 18-19.
Dancers aged between eight and 11 years old should attend at 4.30pm and 12 to 18-year-olds should go at 6.45pm.
English Youth Ballet director, Janet Lewis, says: ‘We’re looking for boys and girls who love to dance and who can demonstrate that at the audition. It will feel like a performance as it’s taking place on the stage at the Kings Theatre. The dancers who are accepted will rehearse as professionals for 10 days and then perform with our principal dancers.’
