Horndean Amateur Theatrical Society (Hats) presents Charley’s Aunt.

The show, a Victorian farce by Brandon Thomas, tells the tale of Jack Chesney and Charley Wykeham, two undergraduates at Oxford University.

When Charley’s exotic aunt telegrams to say she is delayed, he recruits a fellow student to pose as his far-flung relative in order to impress the girls that he and Jack are courting.

But when the titular aunt arrives, a comedy of mistaken identities ensues involving marriage proposals and intercepted letters.

The show starts at 7.30pm at Merchistoun Hall, Portsmouth Road, Horndean, PO8 9LJ.
