The Point Youth Theatre are set to delve into the dark corners and playful spaces of the Internet for their latest production at the Eastleigh venue.
The new show, Error 404, takes its name from an online error message which indicates when a web browser can not find a requested item.
Following a month without the internet, Error 404 examines the modern obsession with ‘updates, likes and shares’ and delves into the internet’s darkest of secrets.
Based on real life stories from the cast of young adults this topical performance questions people’s addiction to a life lived online. With accounts of the performers’ lives laid bare, both those on and offstage will be forced to confront their own online addictions in this brave and challenging new production.
The Point Youth Theatre brings Error 404 to the Eastleigh venue before taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.
Error 404 comes to The Point, Eastleigh on Tuesday at 7pm and 9pm with an after show discussion to be held following the 9pm performance.
Tickets: £6.50, concessions: £5.50. The evening is suitable for ages 16 plus.
The Point Youth Theatre also joins forces with The Point Youth Dance Company this summer for a special performance.
Breaking into what they think is a long abandoned library; Mark and Ellie find themselves in a world of mystery and magic, where stories break free and change their lives in ways they could never have dreamed of.
Shhh!! brings together for the first time The Point’s talented Youth Theatre and Youth Dance Company in an evening of enchanting movement and beautiful storytelling.
Shhh!! comes to The Point tonight at 7.30pm and tomorrow at 2pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets: £6, concessions £5.50.
