One of the most iconic theatres in the country, Shakespeare’s Globe, is touring Hamlet - with the tour beginning in Portsmouth from June 7-9.
Finishing at the Globe on September 1, the small-scale production will be heading to a variety of outdoor venues across the country.
Performing at the City Museums and Gardens there will be an Elizabethan-inspired stage influenced by paintings and etchings from Shakespeare’s time, while just eight actors will make up the cast of the scaled-down production.
For the fourth year, the New Theatre Royal will be in collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe, and tickets can be brought from its box office on (023) 9264 9000 or go to newtheatreroyal.com.
Tickets cost £14 to £16 and can also be brought from Shakespeare’s Globe on (020) 7401 9919 or go to shakespearesglobe.com.
