From the company that brought you Grease, Portsmouth Players debut their production of Sister Act on Tuesday.

It’s a feel-good comedy featuring original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors). Sister Act tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look – a convent.

Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her sisters find their voice and rediscovers her own on the way.

Sister Act comes to the Kings from Tuesday, October 14 to Saturday 18 at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets: £10-13, visit
