Fe fi fo fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman.

That’s the famous utterance of Jack’s giant nemesis in this staple pantomime. But the Groundlings Theatre is hoping the venue won’t smell of patriotic plasma, but rather of the sweet smell of success.

Jack Twerp, the village idiot and useless inventor, is caught up in a magic adventure when an evil wizard has released a giant to run amok in his home town.

The townsfolk need a hero to pull a magic sword from the stone to defeat the behemoth - but can Jack be their saviour?

With help from his mother Tilly Twerp, his girlfriend Jill Yummy, the powerful vegetable fairy and of course Daisy the cow, Jack will need to climb the beanstalk to the castle in the clouds, overpower the giant and defeat the evil wizard. How hard can it be?

Jack is played by Aaron J. Evans. He says : ‘Before this panto I’ve spent most of my time teaching stage combat and acting in Brighton, but I’m really looking forward to taking the audience on a journey with the rest of the cast.’
