Would you trust this little old lady?
That is the question Hayling Musical Society will answer in their performance of 70 Girls 70, which takes place at the Station Theatre from Wednesday.
Three months ago Ida was bored and depressed, living in the Suffolk House Hotel, an old people’s residence in Manhattan, looking and feeling all of her 65 years.
But instead of knitting, she takes up a life of petty crime, and becomes a pensioner behaving badly.
The musical is written by John Kander and Fred Ebb, who are famous for their hit musicals Chicago and Cabaret, and for penning the standard New York New York.
Full of fun and laughter, this show will have you tapping your feet to its very catchy tunes.
70 Girls 70 by the Hayling Musical Society is at the Station Theatre, Hayling Island from Wednesday, April 8 – Saturday 11 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets: £10, call (023) 9246 6363.
