It may be May outside but it’s coming up to Halloween at the Kings Theatre, Southsea next week as Raining Men takes to the stage.
In the run up to the spooky time of year a nightclub has no act, so a trio of friends decide the best idea is to put on their own show.
A new comedy by Hen Party Night writer Chris Ponka, Raining Men is the story of Phil the bouncer, Doug the DJ and Colin the barman, played by Patrick Kearns, Michael Cross and Andy Ryan.
Life becomes a drag at the Jewells Nightclub where they all work, so they take matters into their own hands. Putting on their dancing shoes, the boys decide to entertain their guests with their very own performance and pay tribute to some of the world’s biggest musical divas.
Featuring music from Judy Garland, Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand, The Spice Girls and Liza Minnelli, songs include Dancing Queen, YMCA, and of course, It’s Raining Men.
The performance is for adults only with strong language and adult content.
Tickets cost £!7.50 to £19.50 from the Kings Theatre, Southsea on (023) 9282 8282 or go to kings-southsea.com.
