The show is a family affair, with brothers Jude Porter, 9, playing Oliver and his brother Archie, 14, playing the Artful Dodger. Archie is also a keen member of Groundlings Drama School, having landed the lead role in Bugsy Malone.
The musical brings to life Charles Dickens’ timeless characters with the story of the boy who asked for more. Lionel Bart’s score includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, Oom Pah Pah and many more.
Groundlings Theatre is excited about this performance as Elizabeth Dickens, heavily pregnant with her famous son, was enjoying a evening at the Groundlings when her waters broke.
Oliver comes to The Groundlings Theatre from September 18 – October 4. Doors open weekdays at 7.30pm and Saturdays at 2pm and 7.30pm. No performances Monday or Sundays. Tickets: adults £14, children £10, concession £12. Book online at groundlings.co.uk or call (023) 9273 7370.
