The historic Kings Theatre is offering a rare opportunity to take a trip backstage and experience the thrill of treading the boards in an action-packed open day.
On Saturday, January 18, the public will get to see the inner workings of the beautiful Edwardian playhouse in Albert Road, Southsea, which will give ticket holders the chance to go backstage and visit the fly floor usually not accessible to the public.
Aspiring actors will be delighted with the chance to dress up in costumes and check out the theatre’s make-up artists. There will also be an opportunity to sample a variety of workshops including stage combat and musical theatre.
Tickets are £4 each in advance or £5 on the day with discounts for families of four. Call (023) 9282 8282 for more information or to book tickets.
