REVIEW: Hedda Gabler at The Spring Arts Centre in Havant

Have your say

Suzy Sheep, Danny Dog and Emily Elephant - it was a star-studded line-up on show for Peppa Pig’s Party.

After working wonders in keeping my daughter quiet for the odd 10 minutes, the Bafta award-winning television programme was brought to life on stage.

Using puppets of the characters to put on a charming and fun-filled show, it proved an entertaining hour for the little ones as Peppa Pig prepared for her birthday party.

There was plenty of interaction with the audience, too, from musical statues and nature trails, to renditions of I Am A Music Man and the show’s Bing Bong Song.

The character’s voices were accurate to the television show, especially Peppa and Daddy Pig, and the production proved easy to follow and hear throughout.

Any parents thinking they were in for an quiet time had to think again as you were up on your feet to dance along.

But with the youngsters lapping up every second - and a few gags thrown in for the older ones, too - the show proved a hit for all ages.

Even if the Bing Bong Song was in my head for the rest of the day.
