Some shows are good. Some have the wow factor. And some, very few, admittedly, have much more than that.
And Phantom has so much more.
It’s spectacular – from the quality of the cast to the amazing transformation on the stage as the action switches between the Opera House stage and the Phantom’s labrynth beneath.
Nobody does scenery like the Mayflower. Perhaps it’s because so much space is available on the deep stage. But it’s magical.
Add that to the talents of the charismatic Phantom (Earl Carpenter) and the stunning Christine (Katie Hill – what a voice) and it’s a winning
combination. But the rest of a wonderful cast play their part in a memorable night out.
There’s drama and humour and the music that will have you humming for days – the powerful Music of the Night and Phantom of the Opera will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
