Portsmouth Baroque Choir begins its 30th anniversary season next week with a concert of French music including Durufle’s Requiem – which was also performed in the choir’s inaugural programme.

It now follows Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine and Gounod’s Messe Chorale in the programme to be directed by Malcolm Keeler.

Peter Newman from Portsmouth Catholic Cathedral will be the organist.

The concert is in Holy Spirit church in Fawcett Road, Southsea, on Saturday, March 12 (7.30pm).
