PUPILS from Portsmouth Grammar School are taking to the stage of the Kings Theatre, Southsea with a high-energy production of the award-winning Gershwin musical Crazy For You.

Director of drama at the school James Robinson said: ‘The commitment from the pupils has been phenomenal.

‘They have given up their Sundays and a lot of other spare time since the summer for rehearsals to make sure they put on what I’m sure will be a spectacular show.’

The lead role of Bobby Child is being played by Bradley Jackson, who said: ‘I couldn’t believe it when I found out I had the lead role after my audition. It has been a really great experience to be part of the cast and I’m excited as well as a little nervous about the performances next week.’

Crazy for You is at Southsea theatre from November 24-26. Tickets available from kingsportsmouth.co.uk
