The most basic story of boy meets girl has a typical beginning – they are completely the opposite of one another.
With everyone being different, one of you wants to go out and get things done, the other wants to chill out in the garden. One of you likes things the way they are, the other wants a project.
One of you knows that you really shouldn’t eat the apple, but the other one is going to do it anyway.
Based on Mark Twain’s short story, Eve’s Diary, Dyad Productions is performing The Diaries of Adam and Eve at The Spring, Havant on April 13.
The play follows the world’s first couple as they confront what makes them so different, and how they can learn to live together.
But it’s not like every other relationship as they start completely from scratch – discovering and creating language, inventing fire and learning about the nature that surrounds them in Eden.
Elton Townend Jones adapted the production and plays Adam while Rebecca Vaughan plays Eve.
n Tickets cost £11.25 to £12.50 from The Spring, Havant on (023) 9247 2700 or go to thespring.co.uk.
