Have your say

He’s been in show business for more than 50 years so it’s hard to believe it took this long to introduce myself to Basil Brush.

The anthropomorphic fox is touring the UK in the Full on Fox tour until November.

Basil had children and parents alike laughing out loud with his jokes

Accompanied by his friend, Mr Stephen (played by Chris Pizzey), the mischievous puppet provided an afternoon full of music, dancing and laughter for all of the family.

Sadly, the crowd was not large in number but this didn’t dampen the fun. There was a lot of audience participation throughout. Two lucky children were invited on stage to play a game, but the rest were equally involved through song, dance and even getting soaked by a water pistol.

Mr Stephen impressed with his magic tricks while Basil had children and parents alike laughing out loud with his jokes. The duo tailored many quips to the adults in the room, much to my relief. Katie Hopkins and Prince Charles were among those ridiculed by the cheeky fox.

I may be 28, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed Basil Brush. Boom boom!
