Review: Steve Gribbin, Havant Comedy Club

Portsmouth Players in rehearsal for The Full Monty

Portsmouth Players dare to bare as they go The Full Monty at The Kings Theatre

Have your say

Steve Gribbin had the last laugh at the Havant Comedy Club, stealing the show in his hilarious satirical style.

The headline act performed a series of comedic songs about his views on current affairs and from Nigella Lawson to David Cameron, no-one was safe from the Scouser’s quick wit.

The highlight was his rant about US pop singer Justin Bieber and his recent antics in the style of Peggy Lee’s hit Fever.

Support act Tom Toal was particularly impressive with his conversational style and funny anecdotes.

The Havant favourite is certainly one to watch in the future.

London New Comedy award winner Don Biswas also had the audience laughing with his set featuring self-deprecating humour about the pros and cons of living with dyspraxia.

Despite a nervous start, support act Daniel Edison also proved popular with a ream of one-liners and the evening was compered by Guide Award comedy winner Joe Wells.
