Have your say

Queen Elizabeth I may seem like a difficult character to portray on the stage, but Rebecca Vaughan will take on the solo role at the Theatre Royal Winchester on September 30.

Having performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year, I, Elizabeth, by Dyad Productions, is taken from Elizabeth’s own letters, speeches and writings, and explores the young Queen’s struggle with her desires and the responsibilities of sovereignty.

Not only will the production be at the Theatre Royal Winchester on September 30, but at the Ashcroft Arts Centre, Fareham, on November 2.

Tickets cost £10.50 to £13 from Theatre Royal Winchester on (01962) 840440 or visit theatre-royal-winchester.co.uk.
