Museums at Night: Mighty Mortars
Tonight at 6.30pm and 8pm, you can discover what Victorian garrison life would have been like.
Visit the Royal Armouries, Fort Nelson, and go on a tour of the Fort’s barracks room and kitchen, and sample some Victorian food and drink.
A costumed guide will also take you through the underground tunnel to the North Mortar Battery, where a uniformed Royal Artillery detachment will demonstrate a gun-drill and live fire the 13-inch mortar.
