Southern Rail passenger complains after his head gets stuck in train door

Passengers have been faced with a succession of delays and cancellations to services while workers strike over changes to the role of conductors.

And for many, the strikes have made it near impossible to get to work on time - if at all.

One unlucky Twitter user, with the username ‘billy bolton’, called Southern ‘w******’ after claiming to get his head stuck in a train door yesterday morning.

Writing directly to the customer services team, he said he had become stuck on a tube train in London while on his way to work.

Responding in true diplomatic style, a Southern employee - going by the initial R - posted: ‘Very sorry to hear this, I hope your head is okay.’

Southern Rail has been involved in a bitter dispute with the RMT Union over plans to change the roles of conductors.

The company have also faced industrial action from ASLEF who represent drivers.

Earlier this week Southern warned passengers not to expect any services to be running while strikes were ongoing.
