Things to do in the Portsmouth area this weekend

COMEDY: After his long run at the Edinburgh Fringe, comedian Andrew Maxwell brings his critically-acclaimed show to The Spring. The Spring Arts Centre, Havant, Saturday, 8pm. 

 

FILM: Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail enjoy spending their days in Mr McGregor's vegetable garden. But then a battle of wills soon breaks out. The Spring Arts Centre, Havant, Saturday, 10.30am.

CONCERT: Continuing the Portsmouth Chamber Music series, The Piatti Quartet will be playing music by Haydn, Phibbs and Schubert. Tickets from £16. Portsmouth Guildhall, Monday, 7pm. 

 

EVENT: Take your dog to this fundraising do walk for Rowans Hospice, which follows a three-mile or 6km route. Plus there will be a treasure hunt, Punch and Judy, face painting and more. Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Saturday, 10am-3pm. 

 

EXHIBITION: Enjoy a showcase displaying the competition winners for the International Garden Photographer of the Year. Free admission and everyone is welcome. Gosport Gallery, Saturday, 10am-4pm. 

 

GIG: The Furrow Collective is an English/Scottish band consisting of four performers who share a love of traditional song, folk music and balladry.  The Spring Arts Centre, Havant, Sunday, 8pm.
