The exhibition consists of a series of two-dimensional and sculptural works based on handmade paper. Mundy has had agoraphobia for over eighteen years. He’s also had M.E. for over twenty-eight years, which physically limits what he can do. Over two years Mundy grew and harvested flax, creating his own handmade paper from the plant fibre. Built by Robert Dempster and Sons (Yorkshire), the Emsworth Gas Holder was transported in sections and erected in the early 1930s on the site of the old Gas and Coke Company. It has been an important part of the Emsworth skyline for over 80 years. This exhibition includes pictures of the construction of the gas holder and also the recent demolition. Admission is free.
