With nursery children from Portsmouth High School warming people's hearts with a nativity performance, carol singing and a performance from St John's College Junior School Choir, as well as brass and vocalist performances from the Salvation Army itself, organisers hope that the event will be the perfect start to the Christmas season.

The event will be raising money for Cliffdale Primary Academy in Battenburg Avenue, which supports children with complex learning difficulties.

Tickets are available from the Kings Theatre box office; to book, call (023) 9282 8282.
