Southsea firm offers FaceTime photoshoots so special moments can still be captured in lockdown

Founder Jennifer Sanchez came up with the idea in March, during the first lockdown.

She said: ‘Having pictures taken of your newborn baby is so special and people who give birth in lockdown have that opportunity stripped of them. You don’t get that time back and it’s so important to have those lasting memories of your babies while you can.
‘It’s the same for pregnant people, a lot of women don’t feel their most beautiful during pregnancy and having pictures taken which show how beautiful they are can really change their perspective.
‘Technology is amazing and people who we’ve shot so far have said it’s the closest thing they’ve had to a real photoshoot.

‘It’s a pick-me-up for a lot of people at a time when they need it most. It’s also a good way to dip your toe in the water if you’ve always wanted to do a shoot but have maybe been too nervous.’
Jennifer and her team of all-female photographers use the Live Photo tool to take snaps.

One of the team calls the customer up via FaceTime and directs them into poses, areas with good lighting and snaps a series of images, before editing them as they would with their regular images.
They’ve photographed more than 1000 women during 2020.
