As reported last week, an anti-fly-tipping campaign called for a ‘crush and prosecution’ by clearwaste.com and its members after suspected illegal dumpers were left with egg on their face when their truck full of household waste got stuck – on a bed of rubbish.
The owners’s of the vehicle fled the grounds at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Clanfield late on Wednesday night.

ClearWaste founder Martin Montague said last week after launching his viral campaign: ‘We want a crush and prosecution.’
But the campaign could now be redundant after a picture was shared on social media of the truck burnt rendering it ‘useless’.
‘Who would stoop so low to tip a truck load of rubbish in a beauty spot? Just deserts if you ask me,’ a post on Voice 4 Portchester said.

Mr Montague, who appeared on the BBC’s Panorama program on Monday, said last week: ‘They claim they "broke down" and now they are asking for their van back.
‘Should the council prosecute them and crush it – or give it back?
‘This fly-tipper obviously thought they could get away with dumping this load of rubbish on land at Queen Elizabeth Country Park leaving us taxpayers with the clear-up bill.
‘The public also overwhelmingly want a crush and a prosecution judging by the comments from our viral Facebook post that now has over 100,000 views. Everyone wants them outed.’
