Extra 79 electric car charging points for Portsmouth as number of vehicles nearly doubles
Portsmouth City Council will install an extra 79 charging points in residential roads, adding to the 36 put in last year, using a government grant.
Specific electric vehicle bays will be marked next to the points that can only be used while charging is in progress. Drivers can then pay for the electricity using a pay-as-you go app or with a smart-cable that sets tariffs.
