James Vaughan has today completed a loan move to Prenton Park from Bradford City – and will most likely line up against the Blues when they travel to Rovers on Saturday, February 8.
The 31-year-old has joined until the end of the season and is manager Mickey Mellon’s third signing of the January transfer window.

Hide AdVaughan spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign at Fratton Park, arriving in a loan move from Wigan.
But he featured just 11 times, with only two of those outings coming as starts, in what turned out to be a disappointing spell on the south coast
He failed to score in at time as well, with his last appearance coming as a second-half substitute against Sunderland in the play-off semi-final second leg at Fratton Park.
The former Everton ace has rediscovered his goalscoring touch at the Bantams this season.

Hide AdBefore completing his latest move, Vaughan bagged 11 goals in 27 appearances for Gary Bowyer’s League Two side.
And he’ll be hoping to carry on that form at Tranmere, starting with a trip to Bolton on Saturday before the Blues travel to the north west seven days later.
Rovers lost 1-0 to Sunderland last night - a result that allowed the Black Cats to leapfrog Kenny Jackett’s side in the League One table.
Pompey now sit seventh in the standings but with games in hand on five of the teams currently in the top six.
