The idealistic King Arthur hopes to create a kingdom built on honour and dignity, embodied by his Knights of The Round Table. His ideals, however, are tested when his queen, Guenevere, falls in love with the young Knight, Lancelot, and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance...

Taken from the great Arthurian legends, Camelot is from Lerner and Loewe which triumphed on Broadway in a legendary original production with Richard Burton and Julie Andrews that led to a film version with Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave.

CCADS’ artistic director John-Paul McCrohon, winner of The Guide Special Achievement award in 2019, plays King Arthur. Charlotte Thomas, last seen in the title role of CCADS’ open-air tour of Jane Austen’s Emma last summer, plays Guenevere, with Paul Goldthorpe, recently seen in the title role of the company’s Shakespeare in Love, as Lancelot.
