Advice at export roadshow

FIRMS with an interest in trading abroad attended an export drive led by Havant MP Alan Mak.

The event saw the Department for International Trade’s export roadshow – The Routes to Market Roadshow – come to the Langstone Technology Park last week in a bid to boost export business.

Mr Mak said: ‘I was delighted to bring the roadshow to Havant and showcase the work being done by the government to boost our exports.

‘Havant has a great heritage as an exporting centre, with firms such as Apollo Fire Detectors, Eaton, Lockheed Martin and Kenwood all based in the area.

‘I am keen to offer support to smaller firms thinking of exporting. Many of the companies that came to the event had never exported before and the advice they received will be invaluable.’
