Award-winning Southsea bridal shop nominated for major award
A SOUTHSEA bridal retailer has yet again been shortlisted for a major award.
Award-winning Creatiques Bridal Boutique in Albert Road, Southsea has been shortlisted for long standing retailer of the year at the 2019 Bridal Buyer Awards.
The awards will be held at a ceremony at the Harrogate Convention Centre on September 9 as part of the Harrogate Bridal Show, which stretches across that week.
They are the only bridal shop in Hampshire to be shortlisted for the long standing retailer award.
The shop has previously won retailer of the year at the Bridal Buyer Awards in 2015 and 2016 and have been shortlisted four times for several awards.
It is owned by Andrew Pearce and his husband Robert and has been trading for 28 years.
In a joint statement, they said: ‘It is the second year we have been nominated for this award, so it is great to have the recognition in the industry and for small businesses in Portsmouth.’
Assistant manager Kayleigh Middleton has also been selected in the running for employee of the year at the awards.
The 25-year-old said: ‘It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for the award and to be part of Creatiques.’
She will be up against seven others also shortlisted for the award and the shop will be against five others.
Creatiques is a bridal retailer specialising in wedding dresses and accessories.
They have previously won retailer of the year at The News’ Business Excellence awards and have been shortlisted for the award in previous years.
They house over 130 hand selected bridal gowns from the UK’s top designers, including Justin Alexander, Maggie Sottero, Eliza Jane Howell, Sottero and Midgley, Lou Lou Bridal, Sincerity Bridal, Lillian West and Mark Lesley.
Creatiques offers personalised appointment-only bridal appointments and stocks dresses from UK size eight to size 36.
There are over one hundred bridal retailers, bridal designs and people in the industry shortlisted for awards at the Bridal Buyer Awards 2019 from across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
They are seen as the biggest awards in the bridal industry.
Some categories include best website design of the year, bridal-wear manufacturer of the year and wedding dress of the year.
