Bob the builder is honoured for his work

DEDICATED Bob Plowman has been honoured for his dedication to building good-quality homes in the first round of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

Bob, from Bishop’s Waltham, works for McCarthy & Stone Retirement Lifestyles Southern. He won the award for his management of the Walmsley Place site in Bishop’s Waltham, joining almost 450 other award winners from across the UK.

Now in its 36th year, Pride in the Job celebrates the exceptional contribution site managers make.

As well as undergoing spot checks on the day-to-day running of the sites, each manager is assessed across 37 areas of management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls.

NHBC regional director Nick Cunningham said: ‘I’d like to congratulate Bob on this fantastic achievement.’

Regional winners go forward to contest the national title at the Pride in the Job Gala Final in London in January.
