Builders and tradesmen positive about Brexit

BUILDING and construction professionals in Portsmouth remain overwhelmingly optimistic about their future post-Brexit, according to a poll undertaken by a builders' merchant.

Gibbs & Dandy, in Fitzherbert Road, Portsmouth found that trade professionals, builders, joiners, electricians, plumbers, and painters and decorators, had a positive view of the future, despite the UK voting to leave the European Union.

When asked how they felt about the short to medium (one to five years) future of the building industry, more than two-thirds (69.5 per cent) said they were optimistic, while only 12 per cent were pessimistic.
