Relentless Steak House in Port Solent was forced to close as a dine-in restaurant after last week’s government guidelines, but owner Scott Matthews is now operating the restaurant as a butcher, offering delivery and collection services.

Hide AdHe said: ‘The main reason we’re staying open is to make sure that staff get paid still.
‘I work with my staff every day, so we have become more like friends. I want to keep them all on so I came up with the idea to do the butchers. If you look after your staff they will look after you.
‘It’s important to support local, because it will keep the economy moving.’
A brewery in Gosport, has moved on to online orders for anyone throughout the Portsmouth area.

Hide AdThe new service means people throughout the area can now have bottled beer or alcohol in take-out containers delivered to their doors.
Head brewer, Ed Anderson said: ‘Our entire business flipped in the space of about 48 hours from wholesale to online. When the pubs closed we had a load of beer ready to be sold, which we are now selling in takeaway containers.
‘We have had a fantastic response so far.’
Katy Carter, who runs Katy Carter Aesthetics and Beauty in Copnor, has started offering online skin consultations for £10.
Through this she offers tailored skincare for clients that have had their appointments cancelled due to the salon closing, via Instagram.

Hide AdShe said: ‘It’s really important for small businesses like mine to continue trading through these uncertain times and also for small businesses to support each other. Our businesses are a product of a lot of hard work and passion and we need to try our best to continue with that ethos throughout these unprecedented times for not only the beauty industry but a lot of industries. We have to adapt to what is going on.’
