Shoppers facing queues at Sports Direct, Primark, H&M, Argos and Debenhams in Portsmouth as stores reopen

Huge lines continue to stretch around Portsmouth city centre for Primark.

However more queues have now appeared on Commercial Road, including at Sports Direct.

The line for the sports store is lengthy one and shoppers can expect to have to wait to visit it.

In Fareham there are similarly long queues for Sports Direct, with more than 30 people waiting in line.

There are also queues outside H&M and Argos as well as a line at Debenhams.

Non-essential shops have been allowed to open as of today.

Boris Johnson announced the changes at the end of last month, and they come into force 12 weeks after lockdown began.

Plenty of other retailers in Commercial Road are returning for business.

Gunwharf Quays will also be reopening for business today.

The discount shopping centre has announced that 50 stores will be reopening – including Hugo Boss and Cadbury’s.
